Some things are best left UNPLANNED!

After what happened, Nikky & I decided we were nvr gonna plan  ahead anymore.  We're just gonna pick up the phone 1 fine day and arrange to meet the same day or the following day!!!

I was just emailing with Habibi Liyah yesterday and we both had the same thought...we should meet up once (for the 1st time!) b4 Ramadhan comes.  Afterall I've completed my studies and I promised that I'll drop by her place one of the days.  But I'm running out of time. I've just 2 more wks and 1 more wkend.  Wkend seems impossible ... so I was thinking of taking leave and if she has leave to spare, she can take leave and we can just chill @ her place.  Alas, she has only 1/2 day left of her annual leave as opposed to yours truly's 18 days (sorry Liyah, just had to rub it in!). 

She was telling me she's got an interview to attend the next day (ie. today) ... "not sure if I shld take time-off or MC" ... and that's when this brilliant idea striked me!  Why not she take MC, so she can be free after the interview, while I take 1/2 day leave and we can just chill out @ her place!!  Although there were no promises made, she was quite receptive to the idea ... and we left it @ that .. to let nature take it's course.

Guess whot!?!?! It just HAPPENED!! It was a spur of the moment thought, and it materialised.  After more than 1 yr of online friendship (from the time she was 8mths pregnant to now her baby is 14 mths old!) ... we finally met for the 1st time!!! And it was instant masti (fun!).  What not, with a girl as approachable as Zoha who greeted me with so much warmth the moment Liyah opened her house door!!! She slowly popped her head out, look @ me and gave an unforgettable smile!!!  I had so much fun entertaining Zoha and her cousin bro Mohsin and yet.  The best part of the chill-session was sharing a pack of briyani among the 4 of us as it gave me a feeling of warmth & closeness.  I spent abt 3hrs++ with them.  I even took a video (using my PC-Cam) of Zoha doing her antics ... but I think I accidentally deleted it.  So only still pictures are salvaged.  Gd enuf la!

Wonderfully screwed up day!

Oh u have to check dis out! I was so geared to meet Nikky today after my course @ IPAM (2nd day of BRAINPOWER course).  Before mtg her @ 7pm, I had made arrangement with my former lecturer (now friend) Shila to drop by her place to spend some time catching up.  She's staying @ Tiong Bahru (which is just 5 MRT stations away from Buona Vista where IPAM is).  My course ends @ 5pm, so I was supposed 2b @ Shila's place by 5.30pm latest, and leave by 6.40pm 2 meet Nikky @ Raffles Place (3 stations away from Tiong Bahru).

1st screw up - @ 3pm .. I realised my hp battery is low (no backlight)! Damn! I'm not going home till 10-ish. How to survive w/o hp to arrange meet up venues with 2 ppl I'm supposed to meet! I squint my eyes & sms Nikky to tell her my plight & that I'd call her from Shila's place to make arrangement.

Then, usually course ends @ 5pm..but bcoz this perfectionist of a planner had drawn her perfect plan, course ended @ 5.20pm!!! So I dashed off w/o saying bye to anyone.

I reached Tiong Bahru @ 5.45pm.  Shila had given directions to her place, which was a 7 min walk from the MRT.  So I knew I cld be @ her place by 6pm.  But little did I know her direction was so "fabulous" it brought me to another end of the station.  As a result, I had to stop & ask so many stupid young executives before an old chinese ahpek patiently came to my rescue.  He was honest enough to advise me to hop on a bus (although for 1 stop) instead of walking so I do not go off-track again.  So I was like terribly late .. I reached Shila's place almost 6.30pm.

I sms-ed Nikky that I'll be late..& she replied back to ask "my friend would like to join us, is it ok with u?"  NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So since I wasn't abt to have a 3rd party intruding into my personal moment with Nikky..we decided to meet up another day for her Muddy Mud Pie. :( *sob sob*  The whole reason for the meet up was solely to show her the Rabba Ishq Na Hove episode where we made a split-second appearance which I had videocam-ed using my PC-Camera since she missed it on TV).

The gd thing abt not mtg Nikky was that I got to stay longer @ Shila's place. Had a ball of a time entertaining her 2 lil monsters, Bobby & Garry.  Bobby (4 yrs) is so intelligent he adopts things very fast! Garry (2 yrs) is such a copycat he does/say everything that his bro does/say!  They're a bunch of darlings nevertheless!  It was madhouse with 3 mad ppl..but I had a wonderful time! Got to taste Shila's special samosas (she's now into samosa supplying business, so anyone wanna order for Diwali or Eid, lemme noe). 

Left her place abt 8-ish. While she promised to show the direction of the MRT station, it was her hubby who had to direct me!

CONCLUSION: Shila has horrible sense of direction and she gives horrifying direction! Oh well, she makes great samosas though!

Addicted to sleep!

What the hell is wrong with me?! I don't know...I'm just addicted to sleep!

Maybe I've been deprived of sleep for the past 22 months...so now that nothing's stopping me, I tend to feel sleepy faster.  So if you're not seein any updated blog entry, there can only be 2 reasons:

1. I'm reviewing movies on my other blog (www.sharbz_mahal.blogspot.com)

2. I'm enjoying my beauty sleep!!

Life is funny.  When I wasn't sleeping enough, mom wasn't too happy and often complained.  Now that I'm sleeping as early as 10pm, she questions me and Dad concludes that I'm having migraine (which seems like everyday then!?)! *sigh* So tell me - should I sleep or should I not?!

Hey, it's almost Fri.  Finally.  I'll be meeting Nikky tomorrow at Raffles for a a chill session over muddy mud pie ...hopefully there's a Polar Puff there too ... so I can fulfill my craving (which is like everyday?!) for their sardine/tuna puffs!  Looking forward to the night's out tomorrow after my course @ IPAM  (Civil Service College)!!

Shucks!! I just realised my new AV stereo receiver has no karaoke function (no mic jack!) ... which means I can't karaoke in my room anymore when I'm home-alone (the only time I'll croak to my heart's content!) ... boring - boring!

Planning for a get-away...insyallah for a 4D/2N Langkawi trip in Dec. (Shah - nak ikut?).  Mom's really looking forward to it ... but I'm half-hearted coz I can't claim the travel expenses under my company's holiday subsidy (up to $350 per year)  since I've used it for the KL holiday in Apr.  If I procrastinate for next year, chances it I'll not go!  Anyways ... I still have Ramadhan & Eid to cross first ... so will think about it after Ramadhan and hopefully by then, my pocket will be filled, so will be more motivated to plan for a vacation.

I'm officially a FREE-BIRD now!! I believe I can fly ... I believe I can touch the sky ... bla bla bla ... Oh, I completed my project officially on Thurs night, 8 Sep.  Submitted it on Fri evening, 9 Sep.  Goes w/o saying...I've started to live life agn since 10 Sep 2005.  This is what life has been for me since I became a FREE-BIRD:

Sat - 10 Sep

Sent my car for 2nd free servicing, followed by a visit to granny's place (monthly routine every pay day).  After that, brought mom to S'pore Expo for the Halal Food exhibition (which we've gone for countless times!).  Bought a durian swiss roll and a chocolate swiss roll (2 for $9.95) ... yummy!

Sun - 9/11

Went to Toa Payoh with parents to check out the PHILIPS carnival sale.  Dad bought mom a deep fryer ($139) and I got myself (finally!) an electronic toothbrush ($95).  Then we went to TOYOGO and shopped like there's no tomorrow.  $114 flew as freely as I (FREE-BIRD) am.  The best thing of this all is the good times we had.  It's been months since Mom & I actually shopped happily.  I got myself some organiser files to organize my study.  Also bought some airtight containers to store hari raya cookies (yes, free-bird will be back baking cookies this yr after a gap of 2 yrs, Insyallah!!).

Happy happy happy ... couldn't sleep ... so decided to put on a DVD at midnight ... of all the movies I chose, I went for Kal Ho Naa Ho, which I've not seen for almost 1 yr now?  It was nice, to watch a favourite movie after so long.  I should start taking out all my favourite movies and watch again.  All I've been watching over & over again are HUM TUM and MERE YAAR KI SHAADI HAI.  Although I'm nvr bored of them, I think the other movies are crying inside my TV rack.  Ok babies...mommy gonna bring u out 1 by 1 ok...patience!

Mon - 12 Sep

No big deal ... back to work.  Boring boring boring ... Pay day but pay exhausted.  I'm a qualified bankrupt.  No more TOYOGO till next year.  Hehehehe...Came back home, did some productive chores like cleaned my fan which hasn't showered for more than 3 mths since I bought it...Changed my bedsheet...all these are something I'd do on a wkend morning/afternoon, not on a wkday evening.  Something must be wrong with me!?

Looking foward to watch some movies, 1st on the list is Saif's new movie with Preity Zinta - SALAAM NAMASTE (a Hum Tum genre of films).
