Another day went wrong...

Did I tell u my 15x Laser appt @ Wajah Beauty Centre ended last wk (20 May)?  Yeah. That day was also when they started my 1st (out of 10x) Facial.  Whoaa..blardy painful sia! Dunno what they pricking all!  So anyways, I've been waiting to find out wat they'll do after the 15x Laser ends & the problem is still not 100% cured.  This is wat they did.  Bcoz my face is such that sometimes it's ok, sometimes the dryness comes back, they can't leave me for a once a mth appt (facial) coz in between if my face has problems w/o Laser, they won't know, so they want me to sign on for another course of 15x Laser ($900++!!)!!  I wasn't too pleased, I refused to commit to it & wanted to think abt it.  But the boss insisted that she has to fix my appt...so yeah, they fixed my appt for Sat 27 May @ 5pm (coz I said Sun I've a wedding to attend).  Gd thing is I got all my 9 products (included in the $1,750 package).

It's been pissing me off, mom too.  I thought hard abt it & decided that if I can take care of my face well & it doesn't give any troubles, I wont go for the Laser appt (start a new course).  And yest, I really did it.  I didn't go.  I didn't call either, coz they'll psycho me to come.  It started storming from 1.30pm...I was hoping it wld carry on till 4pm so I can call them & give the rain as an excuse to cancel.  But it stopped raining earlier.

Anyways...Fanaa (Yash Raj Films latest release starring Aamir & Kajol for the 1st time in a Yash Chopra's film.  Aamir & Kajol is also coming together after 9yrs since Ishq in 1997) released on Fri 26 May worldwide.  I was planning to catch it after work on Fri itself, but the moment I was still in office @ 7pm, that bug called laziness started biting!!  Coincidentally, Fri nite, my princess, Shazadi msg-ed something abt catching a hindi movie but no members etc etc...& I told her not to action coz I'm always on for a hindi movie!!  So yest morning when I woke up @ 12noon I got an sms from her asking if I'll be going for a hindi movie this wkend coz she wanna go.  TV program whole day sucks...and I know I'll be damn bored @ nite w/o gd programs on cable...so I decided to catch Fanaa.  There were 4 shows that we can make it for.  3.30pm, 5pm, 6.45pm & 8.30pm. 

3.30pm - cant make it already la;

5pm - too rush;

6.45pm - just nice;

8.30pm - gonna end late (we only catch this timing if it's after work on wkdays coz no choice, but no reason for this slot on wkends).

So we settled for 6.45pm slot.  Met Sha @ 5.45pm @ Bedok Interchange (she's late agn!! but we're not late for the show)...we reached Shaw 20 mins b4 the show starts.  While walking up, I told her "let's prepare for the worst.  Do we go for the 8.30pm show if the 6.45pm show is sold out?!"  We both agreed.  We reached the box office counter alright...whoaaa...so crowded (for the ticket queue & even worse for the refreshment queue!).  My migraine, which was already there wen I woke up, started to develop.  Unfortunately for us, whenever we're together, something or the other are bound to happen.  The 6.45pm tickets were sold out!!!  Damn!!  So much for our planning!!  So we asked for the 8.30pm show.  Gosh!! It was also four-fifth filled!!!  There was hardly any aisle seat at row M which I usually get.  So we were pushed to row G (3-seater).  But the lady later told us that seat cannot be booked, she claimed that the computer wont let her click, but I know it's coz since we're buying for 2, she wanna save it for 3 ppl.  Instead she pushed us 1 row down to row F (5 rows from the screen!!)...which was a 2-seat row.  It didn't look bad on screen except that the seat is on the extreme left, so it was stressful having to look up & look right throughout the 3-hr long movie!! Halfway thru the housefull movie, many times u have babies wailing!!  My migraine also started wailing inside my head!  The 3 behind us wasnt much of a help either coz they were noisy completing the sentences in the movie (bet they're watching it for the 2nd time!!).  The movie was already lengthy & they had to take a 10 min interval break!! Crap!!

So now that we've booked the 8.30pm show, wat does Madhuri & Sridevi do when they're caught in a situation where they've 2hrs to kill while waiting for a movie!?  Simple: They splurge on dinner @ Sofra!!  This time, with dessert in mind since Shazadi didn't get to have the pudding the last time I brought her there, due to time constraint!!  So there we were...in Sofra...oh, this time I let her take the view of the kitchen (chef-viewing).  We were happily having our meal...and then something happened to me. 

There's this uncle of mine, 'H', who had a soft spot for me but bcoz after getting to know each other I decided that we were not suitable for each other, he started to show attitude & refused to acknowledge me whenever we cross path.  His face wld b so long that it cld sweep the floor & he'd turn his head away (funny his neck nvr got locked!!) when passing by me!!  So childish right?!  Yeah...so anyways, a couple came in and was standing next to our table...when I happen to look up, I thought I saw 'H' - minus the moustache!  They were like bz searching for other tables...I was quite sure it was him, but since he chose to pretend not to see, I let it be.  After a while, the couple came back (no choice I guess) & got seated next to us.  By then, I got a btr glance of him & it's really him! He still wanna pretend not to see me...so fine, as tho I give a shit!!  But then, I got so uncomfy coz he was seated diagonally across me & I find it odd to be sitting near someone I know but supposed to pretend I don't know!!  All of a sudden, there was silence between Shazadi & I.  Think she just got off the phone or something when they came in, and after she hang up, I just cldn't bring myself to talk.  I was trying to get her attn but failed, so I decided to sms her to tell her abt it; that I wanna quickly get out of Sofra.  While sms-ing, the waiter came to clear our table & she prompted me for the dessert, which we've ordered.  I didn't have the heart to cancel the dessert...so I told the waiter to serve the dessert.  From the time 'H' came in, I cldn't digest my food.  I was quickly biting & swallowing my food; not chewing it properly.  Sha got my sms & understood the urgency, so after 15mins of torture, we finished our food & quickly made our way out.  We had more than 1/2 hr to kill b4 8.30pm...so we walked arnd the building & we snapped some photos too.  Sha had to proof to her suspecting mom that she wasn't out with a guy...so yea, here's the evidence.  Oh well...I guess it's just our identity...whenever Madhuri & Sridevi comes together, something or the other is bound to go wrong!! 

After roaming arnd, 15mins b4 the show starts, we went to the theatre.  Sha bought her refreshments while I checked out Bombay Talkies (CD/VCD/DVD shop).  After that I decided I really need to empty my full tank or my stomach will burst during the movie!!  After I went to toilet, they finally opened the theatre & we headed in. 

Movie was alright.  It was too heavy.  Like Dil Se.  Except this one had a btr ending, not as anti-climax as Dil Se...where I was watching to see what happened & then Shahrukh & Manisha blasted in front of my eyes & the credits roll!!  Fanaa has a muslim background, abt a blind Kashmiri gal Zooni (Kajol) who fell in love with her casanova tour guide Rehan (Aamir) when she went to Delhi for some cultural performance.  They spent time together, to a pt of sleeping with each other just b4 Zooni was supposed to return to Kashmir.  Rehan decided that he cldn't live w/o Zooni & took her back.  Zooni called her parents to inform that she's getting married to Rehan & asked them to come to Delhi.  They didn't show the wedding (I guess, it's left to our interpretation), but the next scene shows Zooni going for her eye checkup & the doctor suggesting a cornea transplant.  While Zooni undergoes the surgery, Rehan goes to fetch Zooni's parents from the train station.  After the surgery (yippeee, Kajol's not blind anymore!), Zooni got a bad news that Rehan was supposedly killed in a terrorist attack to the president's house (yawwnnnn).  Of coz, Rehan didn't really die, he just plotted his death but he was very much alive & changed his look & proceeded to his next terrorist mission!!!   Whooaaa...Aamir & terrorist...a bit to heavy for me to digest!!  If you think I was gonna write the whole movie here...think agn...Sha paid $10 for my tickets, I'm not abt to give u all free movie here...GO WATCH IT YOURSELF!!  The cinematography is superb (I wish I was there!)...songs picturisation is brilliant, most of the songs were good to hear.  Acting, cant say much if it's Aamir & Kajol...beyond perfection, I cant find a word.  But yeah, considering I'm more of a romantic comedy person, Fanaa was a little too heavy for me.

We left the theatre @ 11.30pm...I was already having a horrible migraine, so I suggested we take a cab home.  Dropped Shazadi home 1st...I already warned her I was gonna be very quiet in the cab coz if I talk, I'll end up vomiting.  Luckily the driver was nice enuf to accede to my request to wind down my window as I was unwell.  I've also warned Shazadi not to be shocked if I end up vomiting in the cab; she juz needs to look away, that's all!  She had a plastic bag with her...for standby...but I think she forgot to leave the bag for me when she alighted the cab!!  Hahaha...so from Chai Chee to Tampines, I was praying hard that I don't puke!! It was just a 10mins journey, reached abt 12.40am, I quickly paid & got out of the cab.  The moment I reached home, grabbed my towels/pyjamas, locked the bathroom door & started puking!!!  My lunch & undigested dinner came out in chunks!!! Puked for a whole 15mins...at the rate it wont stop, I almost thought my intestines will come out as well!

After a hard time flushing my vomit down the sink, I showered, massaged axe-oil & slept soundly from 1am...woke up almost 12 noon!!  Feeling btr.  Not going for Wirza's sis wedding coz it's raining quite heavily.  Mom & Dad going out to Carrefour later if the rain subsides (I may wanna join to get some car-accessories...it's nice to tag along wif Dad coz he does all the paying...heehee!).  After Carrefour...I've 3 movies to watch.  Gangster, Neal n Nikki & the movie on Central which I recorded yest afternoon - Lakeer.
