...hehehe...like real. I meant...finally I completed the book!!!
Book was a gd read (Shazadi, I'd recommend u to try it). Above all, my colleague, Miss "K", who challenged me to read it - thinking I'm very dense so won't understand a shit - has been proven wrong!! Ok, der's a lot of Christianity facts which was overwhelming for me...but I don't care abt it, coz it doesn't affect my understanding of the plot.
Think I took abt 8-10 days, each day spending abt 1-2hrs of my spare time, giving up my TV time to read it. Yeah, I may b 1 of the longest Da Vinci Code book reader...but hey, I don't have the luxury of time ok!! It's different if I'm granted a whole 1 or 2 day(s) & allowed to do nothing the whole day but just read, then perhaps I cld've completed it in that 1-2 days. Coz if u look @ the time I took in terms of accumulated hrs, note dat I only took abt 16-20hrs (which I can easily break into 2 days max)!
Oh wel, der was something nice in the way I ended the book dis morning. U see, weneva I read or watch suspense/mystery, I've the tendency to guess along the plot (of coz, my guesses wil keep changing as the plot moves!). Since I started reading dis book, I kept guessing the murderer...of coz towards the end, my final guess was correct...but dis morning's ecstacy wasn't dat. It was coz I guessed the 2nd codeword (5-letter word) correctly wif just 1 single guess!!! Ok, I can't help getting frustrated @ the protagonists' attempts to crack dis 2nd codeword since the last 2-3 chapters, so I tot hard & gav a wild guess. Errmmm...after dat I got really curious to see if I'm rite...alaaahhh, afterall I'm just 5 chapters away from completing the book, so I tot "heck care la wif the suspense!" & I flipped few pgs ahead to the nxt chapter to find a portion where I can see they've cracked the code. I schemed thru' dat pg, saw the codeword aaaaand BULLSEYE!!! Hee...I was on Cloud 9 for a while!!
