I'm 30...

But I don't feel any different!!  So really, turning 30 doesn't really matter.

Got wishes via sms for the first 12hrs of the day since midnight.  In the morning, I got a very sweet email from my penpal from Mumbai which really put a smile on my face & can't help reply & ask him "was that a b'day wish or some dedication!!"  But it was nice anyway...check this out:

Oh yeah...we're mushy, but no naughty thots pls...he's happily married!

Another shocker which put a smile on my face after my jaw dropped was a testimonial on Friendster.  I was so confidently opening to read it thinking it was gonna be from Nikky (knowing her!!)...but it was from - surprise surprise - her bro Johnny!!  Well, I doubt Johnny reads my blog...but I still have to say that after 15 yrs of friendship (he was 13 & I was 15 when we 1st gotta know each other), this is the 1st unexpected pleasant surprise he's thrown at me...which I shall remember for the rest of my life.  Thanks John...for the sweet gesture. 

I've been off work since Fri.  Went for my 2nd facial yest'day (it went alright but so blardy painful!!).  Today is just slack day, will be watching IIFA Awards on Star Plus tonight till 2.30am.  Will have a final rest tomorrow, b4 resuming work on Tues.

Oh I came home from facial yest'day & saw an evelope wif a b'day message written in malay (I recognise Mom's handwriting) which translates "FROM ALL...BE HAPPY ON YOUR B'DAY" & there's a long slim box in it.  I exclaimed to mom "what's all this...I told u right no need to get anything..." (she's been asking me what I want for my b'day & I've been telling her I dowan anything).  Oh well, I still thanked her & told her I'll open the gift on the 25th.  It looked like a watch box, so I felt she probably just wanna get a small token & I guessed it cld be a Tweety watch (mom's capable of doing such things since she knows my craze for TWEETY!).  The clock striked midnight, I opened it & my jaw dropped to see what my WHOLE FAMILY got for me:

It'd be better if they didn't waste $$$ on it...but since they already did, it's ok (THANKS!)...it's really pretty & it suits my tiny wrist.  So now I've a plan brewing in my mind: I'll trade-in my existing bracelet & matching chain to get a ring & chain to match this bracelet.  Oh well, Insyallah, if I've $$$ in the near future.

Mom made the usual "25th June" dessert - Bubur Chacha - and cooked one of my fave food, her Laksa Istanbul (normal laksa, but wif quail eggs, chicken & fishcake).

It's been a simple day for me.  Away from the sun, the noise & the crowd.  Just the way I lurve to live my life!
