Wooohoooo!!!! Got myself a new part-time job!!

My colleague, Ms K, decided that there's no harm in taking a lift back home from me (esp. when she needs to rush home b4 8pm for some TV prog!)...but she has a problem - she doesn't like being obligated & she doesn't think it's fair for me since I spend on petrol.  I wanted to charge her taxi fare...but ok, that's overboard, she'd rather take a bus she said!  Hmmm, let's see, how'bout $0.50 per km (it's just +/- 10km from T2 to Tampines)...ie. $6?  But she has a btr idea "Why not I pay u my bus fare?"...errrr...bus is on diesel, mine is petrol, more expensive ok!!  But what the heck...DEAL!!

If u think she's enslaving me or taking advantage of me...think agn: It takes 20mins from T2 to my house.  Considering my block is strategically located that I can get off the PIE at any exit I wish as long as b4 Exit 4b (Tampines New Town), if I drop her along my journey home w/o going out of my way, all I do is get off the PIE two exits b4 my usual (saving 8mins), drop her 5 mins after exiting, then drive straight for another 5 mins & I'm home sweet home.  Total time: 20mins (still!!)... Get the drift?!

I may do this in the name of fun (I don't ask for it, but I can't stop people from paying me if they feel strongly abt it!) but hey, for 13yrs I slog like a dog & earn just so much.  If that's not bad enuf, for the past 2 weeks (there had been many of such situations or worse), I've been carrying juz $0.50 cents in my purse, not bcoz I've no $$, but bcoz I refuse to w/draw cash as I'll end up spending them (for lunch, I make do wif watever's in my drawer even if I crave for some gd meal for lunch, only so I can control myself from spending).  On Mon, Mom c/o me to buy "chye sim" for her (to fry mee the following day) so she doesn't have to go out.  The "chye sim" was $0.65 (I paid by nets)...when I got home & Mom wanted to pay me back, I declined (if I buy food for home, if it's just few cents, I can't be bothered to take money back)...I told her if it was $6.50 or $65, at least I can do a lot with the $$ rite...what can I do with $0.65!?!?  Heehee...bcoz I didn't take the mere $0.65 from Mom, a miracle happened!!  The next day I received $7.50, my long-overdue share of a WITS project!!!  I feel blessed...from $0.50, I finally have $8 in my purse.  Then, yesterday, Ms K offered me the part-time job opportunity...wei, $1.50 for such simple task (technically, doing nothing!), who wldn't want?!?  Juz see: In 2 days, I've earned $3 in my purple box on my dashboard (as compared to having been living wif juz $0.50 in my purse for the past 2 wks!!)...ez money rite!??!

I don't really know wat I'll do wif the $ (she remarked "u cld juz b saving up for your wedding in there u know!")...but I'm quite proud of my entrepenuership!  Heehee...oh, and if I drive to the Bollywood Masti Hi-Tea this Sat, I'm gonna be earning half of the taxi fare which Maslin & I will be taking if I'm not driving, coz she'd rather give the $$ to me than to a taxi driver!!  So let's hope my parents do their usual 5th-of-the-month routine (monthly grocery shopping @ NTUC) on the 6th (Sun) instead, so I get to take the car & earn some $$.  Cannot tahan ah...my car's meal cost $1.725 per litre!!  Even my lunch doesn't cost that much!!

Heee..actually, I've always wanted 2b a taxi driver or a car valet driver when I retire or if I'm not in my current job...so y not practise from now...rite?!?!
