It was an impromptu decision made just few days ahead. Even bro (who hardly wanna join us for such trips) jumped @ it. Unfortunately, 2 days b4 going, we discovered his passport is expiring mid-May 07 (less than 4 mths). We asked arnd, some say "risky..", others say "can pass..". But most feel that it's all up to the officer-in-charge @ JB immigration. So what we did based on one's suggestion - attach the new passport application's acknowledgement slip as proof that the new passport is not ready.
We did just that, Alhamdulillah, no troubles @ immigration & he passed pretty easily. The reason for the trip was simply bcoz of Amsyar's non-stop drooling was attributed to Sis' unfulfilled desire (during pregnancy) for HotPlate Mi @ Giant Pelentong. So I decided that if letting Amsyar taste the HotPlate Mi means he'll stop drooling, then "Come, let's go!!"
The starting of the trip was disappointing coz we kena ketuk by the man who calls out for "teksi" to us...he quoted RM20 to Angsana (from JB immi)...we tried to quote RM10, but he refused, so since we're not sure of the JB "taxi" system, we just went along. He brought us to quite a distance...and guess what? It wasn't teksi afterall...it was just a Proton car...blardy hell. But nvm, for everyone's safety, we'll just go along & pray for safety, that's the most impt. We didn't wanna screw up our "mini vacation". So yea, wif safety in mind...the trip was tiring, but overall fun! Fun bcoz Amsyar was entertaining us from start to end. Except, in between, after brunch @ MaryBrown (Angsana), while walking arnd the mall & was doing some minor shopping when a sleeping Amsyar vomited on his mom! She spent 1 & 1/2hr trying to find a new blouse & tudung! That wasted our time so we got delayed.
But nvm, 1st trip out, so nxt time, we known that we must bring extra clothes for ourselves & not just the baby...Hehehe... After that we went to Giant Pelentong where Sis fulfilled her HotPlate Mi's craving (altho she claimed it's not as nice as the 1st time she had it!)...and I did final shopping @ Giant...the only thing I cldn't get myself was this nice pearl necklaces coz the person refuse to give us @ RM15 (original RM18!)...so I put it back (play hard-to-get). Nvm...I'm sure I'll get it 1 fine day!
After that we got a hired car for RM15 to drive us back to Larkin, where we managed to hire a car back to home for RM45. Got some foodstuff for dinner from Larkin too. Now...the end was great coz the car we rented was a MPV (Toyota Wish) so it was comfortable for the 4 of us!!
We definitely look forward to our next shopping trip. Oh ya, talk of shopping, it was a thrifty shopping trip too. Bought whatever we needed & didn't waste $$$ unnecessarily. Think each of us spent abt S$50.

gosh, RM20 frm imm to angsana , they realLy ketuk u bu coz its only RM 7 to go there frm immigration.

Whoaaa!! Tks man. Y didn't I think of checking wif u on that...padahal I consulted u abt passport expiry risk remember?! K, k...nxt time, I consult u b4 going JB ... amacam, boleh? U nak ikut pun boleh ... jadi tour guide...hehe...
